I have the old logitech quick cam web and it doesnt seem to work with skype? It gives me the option to do video chat but the web cam doesnt display a video of me? The camera should work but if anyone knows please comment. Thanks!

You could try this:

1. Go to the Tools menu and select Options…
2. In the options dialog select Video Settings from the categories on the left hand side.
3. Check “Enable Skype Video” and select your webcam from the list.
(you can also check “Start my video automatically” if you want)

Now, when you start a call, if you haven’t activated “Start my video automatically” in the video options you need to press “Start My Video”.

When I first got my computer(not less than a year ago) I downloaded Skype and clicked, “start Skype when my computer starts”. Now that button isn’t there. How do I get it to stop without deleting Skype?

If you’re on Windows 7, try navigating to ‘Start, All Programs, Startup’ and find Skype from there. If you can’t find the folder ‘Startup’ then try searching for it from (C:).
